Caade Welcomes Southcoast Recovery As Their First Gold Level President’s Council Donor
SouthCoast Recovery receives award and membership into CAADE's Gold Level Presidential Council
DANA POINT, CALIFORNIA, July 31, 2008 -- Dennis Larkin, CEO and founder of SouthCoast Recovery, the leading
California drug and alcohol residential treatment center, is proud to be announced as the premier donor of
the California Association for Alcohol and Drug Educator’s (CAADE) Gold Level President’s Council.
CAADE is comprised of approximately 4,800 individuals and organizations that promote and support the
quality of higher education in addiction studies throughout the state of California. The President’s Council
is an advisory board of CAADE members that upholds certification standards for addiction service
professionals, gathers and implements the latest research in the field of addiction to set future educational
standards and helps CAADE implement its mission statement:
To promote continuous enhancement of addiction services in the community, including prevention,
intervention, treatment and recovery support services.
During the Gold Level Award ceremony, while talking about SouthCoast Recovery and their competition,
CAADE President Father Frank Kearney indicated that all of the other drug and alcohol treatment that he
has investigated recently have been “reported to the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs
(ADP) or they have been audited and all do horrible things like misrepresenting qualifications.” Father
Kearney went on to say that there was one big exception in all of his research, and that exception was
SouthCoast Recovery, “I couldn’t get them on anything… all of their counselors are not only all up to date
and certified, but they all have the highest levels of accreditation available in the state of California.”
SouthCoast Recovery has positioned itself as a national leader in the recovery field with specialized 30, 60,
90-day and 6 month residential treatment programs for alcohol, club drugs, cocaine, heroin,
methamphetamines and the growing abuse of prescription drugs. SouthCoast also specializes in treating
clinical depression and dual-diagnosis clients that often find themselves fighting alcohol and drug abuse.
“The majority of staff at SouthCoast Recovery is in recovery,” says Larkin. “This allows us an informed
perspective of ‘been there and done that.”
Clients at SouthCoast Recovery stay in eight beautiful homes throughout the south Orange County beach
cities of Dana Point and Capistrano Beach, California, taking part in a 12-step based program while
receiving clinical and medical care as well as Eastern holistic treatments such as acupuncture for overall
mind, body and spirit renewal.
