Let God Change Your Life

You may have been raised with a strong Christian faith but somewhere along the way, the path became unclear. Perhaps in the pain and frustration of daily life, drugs and alcohol replaced God and now you feel lost. God has not abandoned you. Our program material didn't find its way into your hands by accident. You've been led to us so we can help guide you back onto the right path.

All too often in our struggles with addiction we are tempted to punish ourselves for lack of morality, lack of character, lack of will. We feel the horrible weight of failing in the eyes of God and those we love when the truth is, alcoholism and drug addiction is defined as a disease by the American Medical Association (AMA) in that it is chronic, debilitating and fatal if left untreated. Alcohol and drug addiction is merely symptomatic of underlying issues, whether those involve chemical imbalance or emotional disturbances such as painful memories, trauma or abuse. Our goal is to help you address those disturbances in a safe environment that is supportive of your faith. Belief in a Higher Power is the basis of the 12-step model and our Christian counselors will work with you to incorporate your personal relationship with Jesus Christ into the existing program structure. Celebrate Recovery uses Christian-based principles in a 12-step format to help recovering Christians learn how to restore their reliance on God instead of drugs and alcohol.

Scripture instructs, “Do not turn back from the plow.” When you make the decision to turn away from drugs and alcohol and rededicate your life to Jesus Christ, the past is already forgiven. As you begin to walk in faith through the 12-steps, forgiveness is a natural by-product. Forgiveness of yourself and others is a vital component of overcoming the past and rebuilding a new life in Christ. At SouthCoast Recovery, we'll help guide you on every part of your journey to recovery until that beautiful day when you finally realize you were never alone. God has been with you every step of the way.
Be born again, free from the chains of addiction

Addiction is a disease, not a moral weakness. At SouthCoast Recovery, we provide a safe, supportive environment where you can restore your relationship with God while severing your reliance on drugs and alcohol. Through our individualized Christian Recovery Track, you can rediscover and strengthen your own personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Our qualified Christian counselors will help you address core emotional issues that may have contributed to your substance abuse. Our holistic healing therapies of meditation, detoxification massage and acupuncture compliment our traditional medical and clinical therapy for complete mind, body and spirit renewal. This promotes the body’s innate ability to heal itself while we work with you to restore family relationships, core values and faith in God’s vision for you. We’ll help you move past the shameful notion of addiction as a moral affliction through educational modules and workshops that explain the disease model of addiction.

Our Christian Program Works

We incorporate the Christian principles of Celebrate Recovery within our program basis of 12-step methodology.

Principle 1: Realize I’m not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and my life is unmanageable.
Principle 2: Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.
Principle 3: Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.
Principle 4: Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to someone I trust.
Principle 5: Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
Principle 6: Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others except when to do so would harm them or others.
Principle 7: Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible readings and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life, and to gain the power to follow His will.
Principle 8: Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.

Bible-study is held weekdays, Monday through Thursday, with one of our certified Christian counselors. In addition, you’ll attend a Christian process group and a Recovery Bible Study twice a week. We also provide the opportunity to attend Celebrate Recovery Service in the local recovery community for fellowship, praise and worship, and testimony from Christians who have once again learned to rely on God instead of drugs and alcohol.
We offer affordable, faith-based rehabilitation. By redeveloping a personal relationship with God, sins can be forgiven, spirit redeemed and life renewed. Our world-class Christian staff will provide guidance and structure, share scripture and offer daily individual attention to get to the heart of the problem, deal with the wreckage and build the framework for a new sobriety-based life.

Christ’s love strengthens, for we are all children of God. At SouthCoast Recovery, we blend clinical and holistic methods into our faith-based approach to renew mind, body and spirit while restoring relationships, goals and purpose. This prepares our clients for long-term sobriety, allowing our program to excel where others fail.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” - -Jeremiah 29:11
