Christian Drug Rehab

Christian Drug Rehab

Most drug rehab centers offer the 12-step method as a way to recovery. This is because the principles of the 12-steps have proven to be the most successful recovery model available. While it does have a spiritual basis, it’s not for everyone. If you are a Christian, you may want to consider a Christian drug rehab.

Almost anyone who has been sober for any length of time will attribute their recovery to a Higher Power. The difference between the 12-step program of spirituality and a Christian based program comes down to religious practicum. The 12-step program doesn’t put a name or a face on the concept of a Higher Power, allowing the individual to choose their own idea of God. This may seem rather broad-based and ill-defined to a Christian, who believes in the teachings of Jesus Christ and has accepted Him as a personal savior. A Christian drug rehab program adopts the principles of the 12-steps and incorporates them with the teachings of Jesus Christ. If you are a Christian, you may find that a Christian drug rehab with people who believe as you do is more comfortable.

At SouthCoast Recovery, we offer a Christian-track drug rehab program for 30, 60, 90 days and 6 months residential treatment. We have Christian counselors on staff and arrangements are made to attend outside meetings of Celebrate Recovery, a Christian-based recovery group. Like 12-step meetings, Celebrate Recovery relies on principles that admit powerlessness over alcohol and drugs. You can’t do it, but God can. Christian drug rehab fosters an atmosphere of forgiveness in which you can meet and share with other Christians who have similar struggles in overcoming alcoholism and addiction.

If you are a Christian and are struggling with drugs and alcohol, don’t let shame and guilt stop you from getting help. Alcoholism and addiction is a disease, not a lack of will-power or moral failing. Your inability to stop drinking or taking drugs is merely attributed to a power greater than you that has you in its grip, and it takes the greater power of God to remove this dark obsession and compulsion. At SouthCoast Recovery, we can help. For more information on our Christian drug rehab program, call one of our intake coordinators today. We can help you get back on the right track.
